Sponsored Nursery Priority Scheme table

Background

The University of Oxford operates several nurseries across Oxford and nearby locations. Due to high demand, places are available exclusively to University staff and students.

The Sponsored Nursery Priority Scheme allows departments to purchase priority places on the nursery waiting list. A sponsored priority improves an applicant's position on the waiting list but does not guarantee a nursery place.

Current Scheme (1 October 2025 – 30 September 2027)

ODID has two sponsored priority allocations during the current cycle:

•  2025–26: 1 sponsored priority

•  2026–27: 1 sponsored priority

If no applications are received for 2025–26, the place will roll forward to 2026–27. Any remaining unallocated places at the end of the cycle will expire.

Please note

•  A sponsored priority does not guarantee a nursery place.

•  Parents remain responsible for all nursery fees if a place is offered.

How to Apply

Step 1 – Complete the Application

Complete the Sponsored Nursery Priority Scheme Application Form.

Step 2 – Read the Policy

Read the ODID Sponsored Nursery Priority Scheme Allocation of Spaces Policy before submitting your application.

Step 3 – Submit by the Deadline

Applications are collected until the closing date and are then reviewed by the departmental panel.

Application deadline

If no applications are received by the deadline, late applications may be considered on a case-by-case basis if a sponsored priority place remains available.
