Juliana Quigua Chinchilla

Research Assistant, Young Lives

Juliana joined the team as a Quantitative Research Assistant in January 2024. She holds a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Los Andes. She also has complementary studies in Public Policy. Her master's thesis studied the relationship between gender and the perceptions of migration in Latin America.

Before joining the Young Lives team, Juliana worked as a Research Assistant for the Inter-American Development Bank. Her work focused on the causes and consequences of migration in El Salvador, as well as the preferences for redistribution in Latin America. Overall, her research interests include migration, poverty and inequality in developing countries.
