Baptiste Albertone
Baptiste’s interdisciplinary research lies at the intersections of classical development theory, intellectual history, and critical theories of nature and capitalism. His work primarily focuses on exploring the concepts of peripherality, development, and freedom in relation to the ongoing ecological crisis. By critically examining these ideas, he seeks offer new perspectives on the relationship between human emancipation, power, and sustainability.
He is preparing to submit his dissertation in Development Studies, undertaken at the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Professor Ha-Joon Chang. Prior to his PhD, he completed an MPhil in Development Studies at Cambridge, as well as a Master’s in International Economic Policy at Sciences Po Paris. He also holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and Politics from Sciences Po.
