Ana Vaz

Ana Vaz is the Director of Business Development at the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI), where she leads work linking investments to changes in poverty outcomes. She has over 10 years of experience in multidimensional poverty measurement, applied research, and social impact initiatives across academia, international development, and the private sector, including roles at OPHI, SOPHIA Oxford, and Wise Responder. Her work has included designing poverty measurement frameworks for governments, developing digital monitoring platforms for companies, and contributing to the creation of the Women’s Empowerment in Agriculture Index (WEAI) in collaboration with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
