Transformative Adaptation to Climate Change: the Case of Fair Trade

Giorgia's research focuses on the potential of climate adaptation processes to transform cultural, social and economic factors influencing individuals and social group’s unequal position in the face of societal challenges such as climate change, and especially in the context of small communities in developing countries. She critically questions the prevailing technocratic approach to adaptation, and explore how it can be made more socially transformative by using Fair Trade as a case study.
