Emeritus Professor Roger Zetter, former Director of the Refugee Studies Centre, has been commissioned by the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to edit the 2012 World Disasters Report.

The WDR series examines humanitarian and disaster relief through a thematic lens. In recent years, the focus has included: hunger and malnutrition (2011); urban risk (2010); and early warning, early action (2009). The theme for the 2012 WDR is Forced Migration.

The 2012 report is due to be published in late September.
