Young Lives Produce New Teaching Resource with Oxfam Aimed at Secondary School Children

Young Lives at ODID have produced a new teaching resource in association with Oxfam Education for children aged 11 to 16.

"More or Less Equal" draws on Young Lives data and interviews with the children in their study and includes units on Geography, Maths and English that can be used for both subject-specific and cross-curricular teaching.

The resources include a wide range of participatory activities to engage learners with the wider world and help them make links between the local and the global. In all subject areas, learners explore how inequality and poverty affect the lives of children in different parts of the world, including the UK.

Young Lives previously worked with Oxfam to produce "Everyone Counts" - a resource for teaching maths to primary aged children.
