OxValue.AI wins AI award at Alibaba summit

Congratulations to the team at OxValue.AI, who have won an ‘Outstanding AI Project Implementation Award’ at the Alibaba Cloud Global Summit held in Paris this month.

The award recognises individuals who have successfully implemented an AI-based idea from concept to execution and have demonstrated exceptional innovation, dedication, and expertise in the field of artificial intelligence.

OxValue.AI is a spinout from research led by Professor Xiaolan Fu at ODID. It uses big data and artificial intelligence to evaluate the monetary value of technology or technology-rich startup companies to help support innovation and facilitate technology transfer to developing countries.

OxValue.AI offers an approach that is more affordable and accurate than previous methods used; when tested on different industries such as digital, biopharma, medical devices, renewable energy, and waste management, OxValue.ai proved to have a higher than 90% accuracy rate against true transaction values.

"I am particularly delighted that the team has been awarded this recognition as we have sharply increased the pace of innovation at OxValue.AI," Professor Fu said.

"June will be the 15 month we have operated as a spin-out from the University of Oxford, and we now have successfully implemented multiple ways to interact with our valuation service.

We are delighted to be working with Alibaba and all of the members of our ever-expanding ecosystem to make the service more widely available to the people who need it: owners of and investors in novel technologies who benefit from our rigorous third party insights into their value and potential."

The annual Alibaba Cloud Global Summit brings together experts to share ideas, explore technological advancements, and foster collaboration across the cloud computing and AI landscape. Alibaba Cloud is a subsidiary of Chinese multinational technology company Alibaba.
