ODS Sanjaya Lall Prize 2013 Awarded to Tom Goodfellow
The Oxford Development Studies Sanjaya Lall Prize 2013 has been awarded to Tom Goodfellow of the University of Sheffield for his article entitled 'The Institutionalisation of "Noise" and "Silence" in Urban Politics: Riots and Compliance in Uganda and Rwanda' published in ODS 41 (4): 436-54.
The Sanjaya Lall Prize is awarded annually for the best article published in the previous year's volume. ODS also awards a £1,000 prize every other year for the best article published by a student in the previous two volumes. That prize will next be awarded in 2015 for the period 2013-14.
The prizes are named in honour of the late Sanjaya Lall, who was Professor of Economics at Oxford University and formerly Managing Editor of ODS. All past prize-winning articles are currently freely available on the Taylor and Francis website.
