IMI to Host 7th Migration and Development Conference

The International Migration Institute will host the 7th Migration and Development Conference in the summer of 2014.

The conference is being co-organised by IMI, the French Development Agency (AFD), the World Bank and the Center for Global Development (CGD), with the generous support of the Oxford Martin School, and will be held in Oxford on June 30-July 1 .

The conference is devoted to investigating ways in which international migration affects economic and social changes in developing countries. Possible topics include the effects of migration on poverty, inequality, and human capital formation in developing countries, diaspora externalities, remittances, brain drain, migration and institutional/technological change.

A selection of papers from the conference will be considered for a special 'features' issue of The Economic Journal.

Submission of full papers is due by 5 January.
