ODID is delighted to announce that former DPhil Student Jamie Furniss has been appointed to a Lectureship in the Anthropology of Development at the University of Edinburgh.

Jamie, who was supervised by Dr Nandini Gooptu, completed his DPhil in 2012. Jamie's research at ODID examined the longstanding struggle with, and over, garbage and garbage collectors in Cairo.
