Elena Fiddian-Qasmiyeh Appointed Lecturer in Human Geography at UCL

Congratulations to Elena Fiddian-Qasmiyeh, who has been appointed to a permanent position as Lecturer in Human Geography at University College London.

Elena, who completed her DPhil at ODID in 2009, is currently a senior research officer at ODID on the Oxford Diasporas Programme and Research Fellow in Refugee Studies at Lady Margaret Hall. She was Departmental Lecturer in Forced Migration at ODID between October 2010 and January 2014.

She will take up her position at UCL from September, where she will mainly be teaching on the MSc in Global Migration, with a particular focus on forced migration. In 2014/2015 she will continue to contribute to the MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies at ODID and co-supervising DPhil students at Oxford.
