Dawn Chatty Discusses Syria Refugee Crisis on BBC Radio 5 Live

Professor Dawn Chatty of the Refugee Studies Centre at ODID was interviewed on the Syrian refugee crisis on ‘5 Live Daily’ on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Speaking to presenter Peter Allen, she highlighted the scale of the crisis:

'This really is the biggest humanitarian emergency of our time…  Imagine if all of Scotland and all of Ireland suddenly fled their homes and descended into England. That would give you a sense of the numbers of refugees that have descended on Turkey for example, or Lebanon.'
