Alexandra Bridges Wins Eugene Havas Memorial Prize for Best Overall Performance in MPhil in 2014

Congratulations to Alexandra Bridges who has won the Eugene Havas Memorial Prize for the best overall performance in the MPhil in Development Studies for the academic year 2013-14.

While Alexandra came to the department with a corporate legal background, she says the MPhil in Development Studies has helped her to understand and unpack the structural and theoretical dimensions of poverty and international development. Her thesis research examined the politics of constitution-making in a transitional setting in Zimbabwe and, going forward, she hopes to work at the intersection between law, social change and development.
