Albert Sanghoon Park to co-host academic-policy workshop on resilience
ODID Departmental Lecturer Albert Sanghoon Park is co-hosting a joint academic-policy workshop on resilience policy for sustainable development this week.
Resilience has emerged as a key theme for global climate action and sustainable development. Manifesting across academic and policy discourses, this raises a fundamental issue in defining the concept. To what extent does the idea of ‘resilience’ translate across international, interdisciplinary, and theory/practice borders? What efforts are being lost in translation, and what opportunities for cooperation can be identified?
This workshop brings together academics and policymakers across Africa, Asia, and Europe to map and bridge different streams of ‘resilience’-based research and policy.
The workshop takes place at the University of Cambridge on 23-24 June.
