2022 Annual Report now online

We are delighted to announce that the 2022 ODID Annual Report has now been published.

The report brings together highlights, events and publications from the last year and includes features on:

  • Research by Sara Rosenberg-Jansen with two refugee fellows on the RSC-BIEA Fellowship, Joelle Hangi and David Kinzuzi, into energy use in humanitarian contexts;
  • Cheryl Doss' research exploring the challenges involved in ensuring women's voices are heard in household surveys;
  • Maxim Bolt’s research into disputes over inheritance in South Africa, cited in a pivotal court ruling, which could lead to reform of urban property rights that continue to bear the imprint of apartheid-era discrimination.
  • A Tik Tok-style short video app developed and trialled by a team co-led by Professor Xiaolan Fu which was found to have helped marginalised communities in Bangladesh weather the impact of the pandemic.
