Shagnik Chakravarty

Research Assistant

Shagnik is a Research Assistant to Professor Christopher Woodruff at the Oxford Department of International Development.

Shagnik holds a BA in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford. Prior to starting this position, Shagnik worked in various research roles in organisations such as the World Bank, London School of Economics (LSE), and the Bombay Stock Exchange on issues related to trade and industrial development, climate change and structural transformation, and green jobs.

Shagnik’s research interests lie broadly at the intersection of data science and econometrics, as well as environmental and labour economics.
