Saad Hafeez

Saad is the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Officer for ODID. In his role, he provides support for the department to pursue various EDI initiatives including following up on the department’s Athena SWAN action plan objectives for mainstreaming gender equality, delivery of EDI trainings and other complementary initiatives.

Before taking up his current post he was part of the United Nations’ Migration Agency, working on cross-cutting areas touching on EDI and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) in the Asia-Pacific region. He has a background in migration and forced displacement, having completed his MSc in Refugee & Forced Migration Studies with ODID in 2014-15.

In his spare time Saad enjoys hiking and exploring the UK, along with baking and some light sporting activities. Any easy cooking and baking recipes are always welcome for a bit of experimentation!
