Rosanna O’Keeffe

Research Student

Rosanna is a DPhil student in International Development. Her doctoral research uses an object-centred approach to investigate the biography of an item of explosive ordnance. Through this research Rosanna would like to better understand the minutiae of the networks of war, specifically the experiences of those involved in the production, trade and transport of weapons, the experiences of soldiers and those in conflict affected regions.

Prior to starting her DPhil, Rosanna spent three years working for an explosive ordnance clearance organisation, The HALO Trust. At HALO Rosanna managed clearance operations in eastern Ukraine, Iraq and Angola. Rosanna's doctoral research is funded by the Economic and Social Science Research Council and the St Anne’s Noel Moon Archaeology Scholarship.
