Map (Tanyawadee) Chalmers

Map supports the heart of the Lab’s daily operations and is the person everyone turns to when things need to run smoothly. She keeps programmes and projects moving, whether she is coordinating student travel, managing logistics, overseeing purchases, or helping to deliver Lab events across Oxford and beyond. She also brings a welcome creative streak to the team, lending her design skills and communications insight whenever needed.

Before joining the Lab, Map worked at the Refugee Studies Centre, where she played a central part in delivering their internationally recognised summer school. Her work connected practitioners, policymakers, and academics focused on forced migration and gave her a strong grounding in high-level coordination and community building.
