Jad Baghdadi

Research Student

Jad is a doctoral student at the Oxford Department of International Development. His research focuses on crony business-state relationships in Lebanon.

Jad has worked with a several newspapers in the past to cover political and economic developments in the Middle East. He also worked at the LSE Middle East Centre as a research assistant. More recently, Jad was a research analyst at The Economist Group.

Jad holds an MSc in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford and a BSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics. His PhD is funded by the Rhodes Scholarship
