Research by Nikita Sud chosen as winner in Social Science and Humanities by Falling Walls Foundation
Congratulations to Professor Nikita Sud, whose research on the many lives of land has been chosen as a Winner in the Social Science and Humanities category by Germany's Falling Walls Foundation
There were a total of 1,345 nominations in 10 categories.
Academics and academic institutions, universities, research organisations, companies, private and public research centres, academies, research funders, foundations, and individuals were invited to nominate "the bright minds behind the latest breakthroughs and outstanding science projects" in the 10 categories. Ten winners were selected from finalists in each category; one winner from each category went on to be named as Falling Walls Science Breakthroughs of the Year 2022.
The Falling Walls Foundation was founded in 2009. It holds an annual science event in Berlin that coincides with the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall (9 November 1989) and showcases the research work of international scientists from a wide range of fields.
