Nikita Sud Writes for Scroll.in on Communal Violence in India

ODID Associate Professor Nikita Sud has written an article for popular Indian news site scroll.in, tracing ways in which communal violence has been used politically in India.

The article looks at similar patterns from the 1980s and 90s, suggesting that this is the Right's institutionalised riot system being unleashed in times of political change. It notes that India has been here before, and the past, as usual, holds many lessons.
