Conference co-convened by Geoff Goodwin explores Latin American infrastructures

Departmental Lecturer Geoff Goodwin co-convened a one-day conference on Latin American infrastructures on 20 September.

The conference showcased exciting research on this topic, including presentations on water services and infrastructure in Ecuador, mass housing in Brazil, mining in Mexico, and internet infrastructure in Chile. 

 ‘The social and political life of Latin American infrastructure: meanings, values, and competing visions of the future’ took place at the Institute of Latin American Studies (ILAS) at the University of London’s School of Advanced Study and was co-convened with Jonathan Alderman of ILAS.
