Survey design and data collection methods for gender analysis

Although there is increasing attention being paid to women as both participants and beneficiaries of economic development, there continues to be relatively little large-sample survey data available for gender analysis, particularly in the agriculture sector.

This project works with a number of international organizations who are involved in household surveys to find better and less expensive ways to collect individual-level data appropriate for gender analysis. In particular, we are interested in how to collect data that helps us to understand issues around both joint and individual asset ownership and decision-making.
