Shannon is a PhD student researching social and gendered dynamics in urban India. He is interested in exploring how social and economic development has alerted the lives of young people, particularly young men and masculinities, and what consequences this may have for contemporary Indian society. His field research looks at the ground-level realities in the lives of many young people, which are being shaped by larger shifts in developing countries. Shannon hopes to contribute and engage with international development issues through his active engagement with the field.
