Dr Paul Dornan

Senior Policy Officer, Young Lives

Paul is responsible for leading policy activity within Young Lives. His role is to work with researchers and policy staff across the study and to engage with policy communities to develop the Young Lives evidence base and arguments in order to ensure these are relevant and effectively communicated to influence policy debates.

His research interests are in the causes and consequences of child poverty over the life course and poverty reduction policies, including social protection. He has worked on these issues in the UK as well as in middle- and low-income contexts. Before joining Young Lives he was head of policy and research for The Child Poverty Action Group.

He has a PhD in Social Policy from the University of York.
