Laura Ahlborn

Quantitative Research Assistant, Young Lives

Laura joined the Young Lives Team as a Quantitative Research Assistant in September 2022. She holds a BSc in Economics and Political Science from Heidelberg University and an MSc in Applied Economics (Public Policy and Development) from the Paris School of Economics. She is passionate about the generation and dissemination of policy-relevant empirical research to inform gender-responsive decisions in the education, health and development sector.

After her undergraduate studies, Laura worked as a Junior Research Manager at the Center for Evaluation and Development (C4ED), contributing to mixed-methods impact evaluation projects on adolescent empowerment in South Asia and microfinance in the MENA region. She has also completed internships and research assistantships at the German Foreign Office, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the World Bank’s Development Research Group.
