Oxfam GB CEO Danny Sriskandarajah in conversation

We are delighted to welcome Oxfam GB CEO Dr Danny Sriskandarajah (MPhil in Development Studies 1998) back to ODID for a conversation with our Head of Department, Professor Diego Sánchez-Ancochea, about his career, the nature of managing in the NGO sector, and the challenges for development in the context of current politics and climate change.

Danny became Chief Executive of Oxfam GB in January 2019. Previously, he led CIVICUS, the Johannesburg-based alliance of civil society organisations with members in more than 180 countries. Prior to that, he spent four years as Director General of the Royal Commonwealth Society, and held various role at the Institute of Public Policy and Research.

Danny completed his MPhil and DPhil in international development at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. He is passionate about the power of civil society to challenge injustice and tackle the root causes of poverty. A regular blogger and media commentator, he tweets at @dhnnjyn.
