The GendV Project Launch Event: Prof Pumla Gqola and Prof Srimati Basu on Gendered Violence in India and South Africa

The GendV Project aims to explore the many urban transformations and changing gender relations in Gurgaon and Delhi, India and Johannesburg, South Africa. The projectis funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (UKRI) and aims to develop a blueprint for a new generation of scholarship on gendered violence, specifically in the case of public and private sexual violence.

In this first public event from the project, Professor Pumla Dineo Gqola and Professor Srimati Basu will discuss the incidence of gendered violence in India and South Africa, with a Q&A moderated by Dr Manali Desai.
