Part time ERC Project Administrator, Refugees are Migrants: Refugee Mobility, Recognition and Rights
The Oxford Department of International Development is looking for an ERC Project Administrator to take responsibility for all administrative and organisational duties within the Refugees are Migrants Project, including financial management and reporting, project communications, event organization, and editorial assistance for project outputs.
Reporting to the Refugees are Migrants Principal Investigator, Dr Cathryn Costello, the post holder will work in a research group responsible for undertaking research which aims to re-assess refugee protection through a lens of mobility and migration, locating the study of refugee law in the context of the refugee regime. It examines three key aspects of refugee law – access to protection, refugee status determination, and refugee rights – bringing them into conversation with the refugee regime’s norms and practices on responsibility-sharing and solutions.
The post is part-time (25% FTE, 9 hours per week), to start as soon as possible, and is tenable until 31 December 2022.
The successful applicant will have proven relevant administrative experience and outstanding organisational skills, as well as proven numeracy skills and experience of working with budgets and analysing and producing financial reports. A high degree of computer literacy including word processing, email, databases and spreadsheets and the use and development of online resources such as calendars is essential, as is experience in organising and coordinating high profile events. In addition, the ideal candidate will also have excellent writing and editing skills, the ability to prioritise and work accurately and independently under pressure, the ability to work reliably and flexibly as part of a team, and excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
