Studying at ODID

The Department provides postgraduate research training through a DPhil and MPhil, and four one-year MSc taught courses to some 200 students. These involve training in research methods, personal supervision, small class sizes, subject specialisation and an original thesis.

Our students come from all regions of the world and demand for our courses is very high, with an average of six applicants for each place in 2011. The applications process starts in November for admission in the October of the subsequent year, and early application is highly recommended.

Scholarships are available from the ESRC, Oxford University and Departmental funds.
