International Migration Institute Holds 10-Year Anniversary Conference

The International Migration Institute (IMI) at ODID is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a two-day conference in Oxford.

The IMI was founded at Oxford University in January 2006 by Stephen Castles and Steven Vertovec with the aim of developing a long-term and forward-looking perspective on international migration as an intrinsic part of global change.

The conference, titled The Changing Face of Global Mobility: Celebrating 10 years of the International Migration Institute, seeks both to review the progress made in reaching these aims and to explore new conceptual horizons for understanding migration processes and their impacts for origin and destination societies.
