Indrajit Roy wins Teaching Excellence Award

We are delighted to announce that Indrajit Roy has won an Oxford Teaching Excellence Award.

According to the awarding committee, Indrajit was recognised for his 'deep commitment to students and teaching', and for his innovative option paper, ‘Politics of the Poor’.

Launched by the University in 2006, the Oxford Teaching Awards recognise different ways of engaging students and helping them learn, from creating new courses and delivering exceptional lectures and demonstrations to the innovative use of technology to bring courses and subjects to life.

Indrajit teaches on the MPhil in Development Studies and the MSc in Migration Studies at ODID. He also teaches on the MSc in Contemporary India. 

He designed and initiated the 'Politics of the Poor' module for MPhil second-year students in 2013.
