ESRC Features Young Lives as Case Study on Ethics of Research with Children

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) has featured a case study on Young Lives and the way that it carries out research with children as part of its guidance on good research conduct.

The case study, "Informed consent working with children internationally", draws on the Young Lives experience of conducting research with 12,000 children in four countries over 15 years.

It offers advice and lessons learned around the ethics of carrying out research with children and families in low-income settings as well as research that requires the sustaining of relationships over time.
