Alexandra Bridges, who is in the second year of the MPhil in Development Studies, has won the annual MPhil photo competition for her picture of a light-hearted moment at a political rally in Zimbabwe entitled "Rally romance".

The MPhil runs an annual competition for the best photograph taken by a student during their summer fieldwork between the first and second years of the MPhil.

The runners-up were Katie Rickard for a picture of peanut sellers in South Sudan and Leo Goi for a picture of a pro-Morsi march in Egypt. The winning photographs are displayed in the cafe area at ODID.
