2023 Annual Report now online

We are delighted to announce that the 2023 ODID Annual Report has now been published.

The report brings together highlights, events and publications from the last year and includes features on:

  • Oxford's first Sanctuary Fair, co-hosted by the Refugee Studies Centre, local charity Asylum Welcome and Oxford City Council to connect refugees, students and the local community, providing an opportunity to learn more about refugee issues and encourage local people to get involved.
  • Research by Professor Diego Sánchez-Ancochea and Anna Wilson exploring the barriers to formalisation of artisanal and small-scale mining in Peru and setting out policy recommendations.
  • The impact of Departmental Lecturer Francesca Lessa's longstanding work examining transnational human rights abuses in Latin America in the 1970s and subsequent efforts to bring those responsible to justice.
  • Research from the Young Lives team exploring the consequences of early circumstances, global crises and intersecting inequalities on children’s skills development and life-long learning.
