Social networks, collaborations and high-tech cluster formation in an emerging country: the case of biotechnology in Chile

My research focusses on the role of social networks in the formation of biotechnology clusters in Chile. I study the importance of social networks for the entrepreneurial process leading to co-location of firms, the formation of collaboration between organisations and the creation of knowledge of companies in the Chilean biotechnology sector.
