Precarious politics: nationalism and pragmatism among Palestinian refugee youth

Caitlin’s research interests lie in the impact of protracted violence, conflict and displacement on young people in the Middle East. Using an ethnographic approach, her doctoral research in the occupied Palestinian territories studies the ways young refugees make decisions about their futures under severe political constraints, specifically considering choices around education, livelihoods and migration.
