The Refugee Studies Programme, established in 1982, has an international reputation as the leading multidisiplinary centre for research and teaching on the causes and consequences of forced migration, combining world-class academic research with a commitment to improving the lives and situation of some of the world's most disadvantaged people.  Its work focuses on four core areas - research, teaching, dissemination, and international cooperation and capacity building.
